Graduation Fashion Week Gala 25 with Vivienne Westwood .

6/14/2016

Hello, as I promised on my last post, this post is about my visit to the graduate fashion week 2016 Gala. GFW debut back in 1992 and this year is the celebration of 25th years Anniversary.  The guest of honor was Dame Vivienne Westwood, Nick Knight and the people who created the graduate fashion week 25 years ago. Jeff Banks also the creative director Burberry Christopher Bailey,  Julian MacDonald Fashion designer, Andreas Kronthaler, and also wonderful Hilary Alexander from industry Trustee.

The level of the competition was very high. There were numbers of interesting deigns created by new designers. Unfortunately some of my favorite designs that suit my style did not go through to the final.
After the show, I had a great honor to meet Vivienne Westwood and had an opportunity to have a very interesting conversation about the show and future of the Fashion industry. We shared our opinions and interestingly we had very similar thoughts and opinions of the show, which I’d like to keep it as a Vivienne and my little secret.
Vivienne mentioned that there were some very talented new designers showcased their collection on the Gala,However, She strongly felt that it is crucial for them to have a good teacher and mentor who can show and guide them to the right direction to be able to be successful in the fashion industry.
Also I have occasion visit backstage before final catwalk, and Im very happy .

Below is a photo of my favorite look from the final catwalk and the most important winner.
